Lo que será, será
This was a particularly amusing article to read as I still entertain going through medical school just because it’d let me keep my options open. I still want to. But still.

So far, Ive met a British gal and a guy named Jaime from Oakland. Its been a lot of waiting today, even though I walked all around the district trying to explore. Every time I see something, my brain automatically has to divide by three. This freedom of having nothing planned out ahead of time is frightening, but I know Ill get used to it soon. I need to head to Cuzco in the next two days or three. I still cant get my head wrapped around the idea that Im in South America.

Left SFO at 1340 on 25/5, got to Miami at 2200. 5 hour flight plus a 3 hour time difference. Fun. MIA is barren at 10pm. They play sax music, so you feel like a 20s detective. Met a Peruvian man at SFO as well as a St. Louis couple. Former scared me, latter was talkative. Venezuelan couple on the MIA flight wouldn’t talk to me. Met a Bolivian man on the way to Lima. Got here at 430 with I’d say 2 hours of sleep on the plane.
I’m up writing at 743 here because the shops don’t open til 900. Really desperate for a shower now, but I’ll have to wait til 1300 to complete my booking at the Inka Hostel. LIM smells like fish and pollution. The 1 hr bus *minivan* ride cost 2 soles which is $$.66. I need food right now, so I’m gonna go explore the city. Plus, I need to find a bank and a photocopy place.
